How to truly live a meaningful life? Is there a criterion that can define our lives?
Read more about this from the recent post from Ahmed Al-Hasan on the occasion of Eid Al-Adha:
“May you have a blessed Eid . . . and may you be well and in good health every year.
God is Greater, God is Greater, God is Greater [than being described]. There is no God but [the one True] God, Praise be to God for guiding us, and all thanks be to Him for what he has given us and for providing us with sustenance from livestock.
The measure and length of your true age in this life is based upon the magnitude of the position you take in it, so do not pass through this life without leaving a trace or true stance that tells of how you stood with Truth against falsehood. Certainly, this life is a test. Accentuate your position in it no matter how long your life may be—for it will be short, trivial, and meaningless if you do not take a stance. And no matter how short your life is (in this life), it will be a long and great life in accordance with the magnitude and greatness of your stance regarding Truth.
{And when he reached [the age of] accompanying him, he [Abraham] said, ‘O my son, I have seen in a dream that I was slaughtering you, so tell me, what you think?” He said, “O my father, do as you are commanded. You will find me, God willing, among the patient’}” Quran, 37:102.
