2 Proofs of Allah at the same time proven by hadeeths from Ahlulbayt pbuh.
The one with the confusion says it is mentioned that two Hujjas cannot be joined together at one time only if one of them is silent and the other is speaking. And you would ask do you say that Ahmed AlHasan is Naatiq(speaking)and Imam AlMahdi a.s. is silent?
The answer is: Yes but you must understand the correct meaning from it. The correct meaning is that one of them must be speaking when they are joined together in one time and place. As for other than that, it is possible that they both are speaking proofs. For when the Messenger of Allah s.a.w went to Tabuk and appointed Ali the Prince of the believers, was the Prince of the believers speaking(Naatiq)?Yes, he was speaking with the presence of the Messenger of Allah but not during the same place and likewise Aaron was quiet whenever he was joined with Moses pbuh in one place and time. And he(Aaron)was speaking when Moses went to his Lord for example, Aaron was speaking.
And what relates to Imam AlMahdi a.s., for he is either raised like the raising of Jesus or that he was in Gaiba. If you said that he was raised like the raising of Jesus a.s.: Did Jesus a.s. have executors? And who is the Hujja that is speaking after Jesus?
If you rejected the executors of Jesus a.s. you would have taken yourself out of religion and if you say that there are executors after Jesus , then that is correct because the speaker was the executor Simon.
And if you said that Imam AlMahdi is not raised but he is absent from this earth, Ibraheem and Loot were proofs of Allah on the same time and they were speaking proofs of Allah altogether and like Yusef and Jacob pbut.
And you might say that the speaking Hujja is always better than the one quiet and that is incorrect. For many of those who were quiet were better than the speaking. For example Imam AlMahdi a.s. is better than his father but he was a silent Hujja. From Abu Abdullah(Imam Jaafer a.s)from his fathers a.s he said:”Prophet of Allah says:”And he chose from me Ali,Hassan, and Hussein and the completion of the 12 Imams from the son of Hussein, the 9th of them is the inner(of them),and he is the outer,he is the best of them, and he is the Qa’em(the one who stands)”.Gaiba Al Numani p.73
Imam Hasan pbuh gave a fatwa when Imam Ali pbuh was alive so who was the silent Hujja and who was the speaking Hujja?
It has been narrated that Imam Al-Hassan (a.s) gave a Fatwa during the absence of the Commander of the Believers Imam Ali (a.s), and Imam Ali (a.s) supported his Fatwa and accepted it and said that he has nothing more to say except what Imam Al-Hassan (a.s) said. Abu Abdullah (a.s) said:
(There came a people to the Commander of the Believers Imam Ali (a.s) to ask him for a Fatwa, but they could not find him. So Al-Hassan (a.s) said to them: “Tell me what do you want to ask, if I answer you correctly then it is from Allah and from the Commander of the Believers (a.s), and if I was wrong then the Commander of the Believers (a.s) is behind you”. So they said to him: “There is a woman who had a sexual relationship with her husband, so while she was in the heat of it she went quickly to her virgin maid and had a sexual relationship with her and threw the sperm on her. So the virgin maid got pregnant.” So Imam Al-Hassan (a.s) said: “This woman should be taken by the dower of this virgin, because the child shall not come out except that the virginity will go away, and wait on her until she gives birth then establish the punishment upon her. And the child should go to the owner of the sperm. And the wife of that man should be stoned”. So they left, and they met the Commander of the Believers (a.s) [on their way] so they said to him: We said to Al-Hassan such and such and he said to us such and such, so Imam Ali (a.s) said: “By Allah, if you had met the father of Al-Hassan he would not have told you except what Al-Hassan has told you”) Wasa’il Al-Shia – Al Al-Bayt Volume 28 Page 169 Hadith 34476.
Silent Hujja and Speaking Hujja:
From Yazeed AlKunaasi:I asked Aba Jaafar pbuh: Was Jesus son of Mary pbuh whence he spoke in his infancy a Hujja of Allah upon the people of his time? He said: He was during that time a Prophet, Hujja for Allah, he was not sent, haven’t you heard his saying when he said:”I am a servant of Allah, He gave me the Book and made me a Prophet and made me blessed wherever I am and He advised me for Salat and Zakat as long as I am alive” So I said: He was during that time a Prophet, a proof for Allah upon Zakaria in this state while he was an infant? So he said: Jesus was during that state a sign for the people and a mercy from Allah to Mary whence he spoke and expressed about her and he was a Prophet, a Hujja upon who hears his words in this state and then he became silent and did not speak until two years have passed and Zakaria was a Hujja for Allah the Exalted and Mighty upon the people after the silence of Jesus in two years and then Zakaria passed away and his son “Yahya” inherited from him the Book and Hikma while he was a small boy. Didn’t you hear His saying:”O Yahya take the Book with power and we’ve given him the Hukm(ruling) as a young child” So when Jesus pbuh reached 7 years, he spoke about Prophethood and the Message during when Allah the Most High inspired to him, so Jesus was a Hujja upon Yahya and upon all the people and the earth will not remain O Aba Khaled for one day without a Hujja for Allah upon the people ever since the day Allah created Adam pbuh and made him live on earth. So I said: May Allah make me your ransom was Ali pbuh a Hujja from Allah and His Messenger upon this nation during the lifetime of the Messenger of Allah s.a.w.w?
So he said: Yes, the day when he made him stand before the people and appointed him clearly and called them to his guardianship and commanded them to obey him, so I said: And the obedience of Ali pbuh was obligatory upon the people during the lifetime of the Messenger of Allah s.a.w.w and after his death? So he said: Yes, but he became silent and did not speak with the Messenger of Allah s.a.w.w and the obedience was to the Messenger of Allah s.a.w.w upon the nation and upon Ali pbuh during the lifetime of the Messenger of Allah s.a.w.w and the obedience was from Allah and from His Messenger upon the people, all for Ali pbuh after the death of the Messenger of Allah s.a.w.w and Ali was a Hakeem(wise man) and scholar(Aaliman).

This hadeeth proves that Jesus pbuh was a Hujja even during the time of Zakarya pbuh and also Ali pbuh was a Hujja even when the Prophet s.a.w.w appointed him.
